Police have forwarded to the City Prosecutor Office a case of incest rape against a 27-year-old man after who is accused of raping his daughter.

Police said the subject of the accusation, Joegart Lacastesantos y Paragas of Lacasteville, Pasonanca, availed of the 15-day waiver after an inquest proceeding and was detained again at the Sta. Maria police station for further preliminary investigation.

Lacastesantos was arrested during a follow-up operation the other day after his mother-in-law, Elizabeth, filed a complaint with the police against him.

Police said that based on her complaint, Elizabeth said Lacastesantos who was residing in another house went to their residence to borrow his five-year-old daughter around 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Around 4 p.m. of the same day Lacastesantos returned his daughter to his mother-in-law then left.

According to the police, the girl then took a half bath and was assisted by her grandmother. She complained of pain in her private part,

At this point, Elizabeth interrogated the girl until the latter revealed that she was sexually molested by her father while she was with him at his residence.

Elizabeth along with the girl rushed to the Sta. Maria Police Station to file a complaint that resulted in the arrest of Lacastesantos.

After collecting evidences and preparing the sworn statement of the complainant, police took Lacastensantos to the City Prosecutor Office for inquest proceeding. – Dan Toribio Jr.
