Zamboanga City Public Safety Company (ZCPSC) commander Supt. William Gadayan led his men yesterday in the burning of 25 assorted gambling machines at the ZCPSC compound in Sta. Barbara, this city.

Gadayan said the machines were confiscated in different operations and places as the campaign against all forms of illegal gambling intensified.

Gadayan said the machines were kept in the camp after proper booking at the city police office after which he decided to burn it as part of a standard operating procedure.

The ZCPSC is active not only in running after criminals but also in the campaign against prohibited drugs, traffic violators, loose firearms and illegal gambling.

Gadayan and his men conduct spot checkpoints in the different parts of the city.

Based on police records, Gadayan’s group has arrested several personalities involved in the selling and using of prohibited drugs.

The group hase also arrested wanted persons and apprehended several motorists caught violating traffic laws. — Dan Toribio Jr.
