The city’s electric consumers are expected to pay higher for their electricity consumption starting January next year.

This as the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) in a decision dated August 12, 2013 approved the Universal Charge-Missionary Electrification (UC-ME) true tune adjustment of P4,650,702,389.76 and cash incentive Rate of P0.0017/kWh for Renewable Energy Developer (RE Developer).

With the new ERC decision, Ledesma said an additional of P0.0017/kWh will be billed by Zamcelco to rnember-consumers thereby bringing a total UC-ME to P0.1180/kWh effective January 2014 billing period.
